Tripura University of Distance Education, established in 1996 has now is a premier education center of the Country. With this mode of education, many of the candidates got promoted on the basis of their degree. It has now become an extracurricular activity for the students wish to study further with their job.
It allows candidates to get admission in B.Ed., B.A., Diploma in Computer Applications, M.A. in Bengali, Political Science, Education, etc. University also organizes seminars and workshop to aware them about the problems faced in Technical education.
